The Challenge
The Women’s Rugby Coaches & Referees Association hosts an annual conference that brings together coaches, referees, administrators, and leaders from across the United States to advance the growth of women’s rugby.
The 2023 conference marked a historic milestone for the organization with the introduction of the Kathy Flores Lifetime Achievement Awards, recognizing pioneers whose contributions helped shape women’s rugby in America.
WRCRA wanted professional photography and video coverage that documented not only the educational sessions and networking opportunities, but also the significance of this landmark event for the sport.
Our Solution
We provided complete event photography and video coverage throughout the multi-day conference held in Old Town Alexandria.
Over two days, we documented educational seminars, keynote presentations, networking opportunities, the inaugural Kathy Flores Lifetime Achievement Awards ceremony, and the Women’s Rugby History Museum, which featured jerseys, newspaper articles, photographs, and artifacts celebrating the evolution of women’s rugby.
The resulting collection of photography and video preserves an important moment in the organization’s history while creating promotional assets that can be used to celebrate members, promote future conferences, and inspire continued growth within the sport.
